Alumina Ceramic Insulator Flanges are available with a purity of up to 99,6%.

It is a polycrystalline material with a grain size of 1 to 5 microns,an average density of 3,95 g/cm³ and a hardness of about 2000 Vickers.

Alumina Ceramics are generally white but may also be pink (88% Al2o3), or brown (96% Al2o3).

The colour is derived from either the sintering additives or impurities in the raw materials.

Alumina Ceramic Insulator Flanges’ excellent thermal conductivity and thermal shock resistance make it a preferred material for applications requiring efficient heat dissipation and resistance to thermal stress.

 

 

 

 

Properties of Alumina/Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3):

  • Very high compressive strength (2,000 to 4,000 MPa)
  • High hardness (15 to 19 GPa)
  • Moderate thermal conductivity (20 to 30 W/mK)
  • High corrosion and wear resistance
